My Yandere Sister loves Me too much

My Yandere Sister love Me too much

As the title of this VN states, this particular Visual Novel is about a couple of siblings that take their love to the next level. I would say they 'level up' but that joke has been beaten to death. Now unlike other Visual Novels that seem to focus on the concept of High School (though remember all characters are 18 or older even if they are in high school), this Visual Novel focuses on a couple of siblings that are over the age of 20 and are working at a company and the sister 'Airi' is in University.

The protag named Yuu (you see what they did there right?) works for a corporation as a simple clerk in the usual cubicle style office building. He is your normal average day guy that works, talks to his friends, and then heads home. It is when he gets home that things are a bit out of the ordinary. Currently, he and his sister Airi live together while he works and she attends University. While I wouldn't say this is exactly strange as it does make sense that he would work to provide while his sister better's her education to get a better job. So I wouldn't say it is all that odd but it isn't something normal by most Western standards...but this game wasn't made in the West so.

Airi seems like any normal girl, she attends school and then spends the rest of her time at home doing chores and trying to help out around the house while Yuu is at work. However, things like you thought take a weird turn and it isn't as subtle as one may think. On a particular day while Yuu is thinking about lunch when a couple of his co-workers approach him and ask him to go with them to a mixer party. It is at this time that his sister appears bringing him his lunch like she normally does. While his attention is guided away Airi tells his co-workers that he has no need to go to a mixer and that they should drop the issue. Her normal cheerful demeanor changes as her eyes lose color and any sense of emotions.

After lunch, she leaves and Yuu returns to work not realizing what happened between his sister and his co-workers. It isn't until the end of the day when they are making their way out of the office and walking down the road that his co-workers bring up the fact that she's out there and that he needs to talk to her about her obvious obsession with Yuu. Yuu also kind of mistakenly lets it slip to some degree that her unusual habits and attitude extends a bit further where she even wants to continue to have baths with one another even at their age. It is at this time Yuu decides to confront Airi about the ongoing situation.

When Yuu confronts Airi about what his co-workers said, her normal cute and carefree demeanor ceases and with the light and emotion gone from her face and eyes she starts making some weird statements, "I knew I should have dealt with those pests sooner, I messed this up, I need to correct this..." with comments like that being stated Yuu notices a side of his sister that he's not noticed before or one he's never picked up on.

In his own words, her personality is on a 'switch' and certain things will flip it. When he finally tells her that he thinks that it's time they took a step back and toned down how they acted together she seemed hurt but soon she simply agreed and asked he wanted something to drink. It was a mistake he didn't see coming. Being drugged he awakes to his sister in the middle of giving him oral. With his willpower gone and his head still fuzzy from the drug, he isn't able to really do much but let her do what she wants.

Days continue and their relationship gets more complicated. He tries to push off what happened as well as the feelings he has for his sister, though that is easier said than done. He continues to go to work and hide the fact that Airi and he have pushed their relationship in a more dangerous direction. After the night of being drugged, the next day they spent the day in each other's embrace and having sex multiple times.

Other events and happenings continue to happen day in and day out as Yuu's relationship with his sister Airi intensifies and her attitude goes from the cute carefree sister to the emotionless scary woman that seeks to keep him all to herself. He is again asked by his friends at work to go with them to a mixer party. Having a conflict within himself after telling his sister he would go home with her after work he decides to try and put some distance between them in the hopes that it would help her get her mind right. So he messages Airi and lets her know that he will be going out and that he'll make it up to her later.

The guys meet up with some fellow female co-workers and spend some time drinking and talking, it brought up that one of the female co-workers in the same company as Yuu has an interest in him. At first, he is flattered of course by this and when she asks him to go with her somewhere they can be alone he almost takes her up on it. But a thought hits him, he has done left Airi hanging, he messaged her and she has yet to message him back which was odd for her. So he decides to head home instead and check in on Airi.

On his way home, Airi appears and the 'switch' has been flipped, she begins talking about how she knew it would have been a matter of time before some 'harlot' attempted to sway him away from her. She also blames his co-workers for taking him out and away from her. They end up having sex there in the park...nature and all that I guess.

Feeling as though he had been drugged again somehow Yuu awakes in Airi's room where he realizes she has him embraced against her and almost smothering him in her breasts. It is also at this time that he realizes he is chained to her. Her eyes still dark and emotionless she talks about how she can't let him out of her sight that he needs to stay there with her. He at first tries to rationalize things and then starts to formulate how to talk with her about their situation. However, Airi is perceptive almost too much so, any time he thinks about striking up a conversation about their awkward relationship she cuts him off by provoking his basic instinct of sexual desire.

The day continues with them being chained to one another and several events happen, but you will need to read that part yourself, sorry not sorry. He remains chained to her for two more days and eventually the emotions he's been fighting with over his feelings for his sister, he decides to accept his feelings and accept their relationship. With this revelation, he tells Airi his feelings and how he really feels about her, and how he wishes to continue to share their lives together. With this, the 'switch' is turned off so to speak and she returns to the calm carefree girl he remembered.

With all this happening in a matter of a few days the two have their own 'wedding' like ceremony and continue to be with one another. And when you think this is where it ends, you would be wrong. The story then lets you know they decide to get married, and Airi explains the situation to their parents who accept it, (I have no idea what she said or ploy she used to get them to accept it but I find this part to be a bit hard to believe...then again you never know). Airi then quits University and starts her own business she can run from home. Yuu quits his job and helps his sister with her work so they can spend all day together and help keep money coming in to support them. While they don't go out much they do go out on occasion.

Not long after they get together that Airi becomes pregnant and gives birth to a healthy baby girl. Not long after the birth of their girl, she becomes pregnant again and the story finishes up prior to the birth of their second child. It is also noted that Yuu has learned how to flip the switch off when Airi starts to show the more...fearsome side of her personality. In doing so he is able to keep control over her so they can live as normal of a life as they can get...if you want to call any of this normal.

I am not going to lie here, there are some things that happen that I have no interest in and don't quite understand, that said I don't downplay anyone's choice of 'fetishes' so while I personally am not into it, there are people that are and more power to them for it. This Visual Novel is not for those that have an issue with Incest, bondage, fetishes in general, and of course anyone that is squeamish with sex in general. This Visual Novel is a true Hentai style VN that focuses heavily on the sex scenes with a moderately interesting story. I won't say the story was bad perse but it is a nitch story if there was one.

Graphically speaking, this Visual Novel isn't as nice as say NekoPara but it isn't a low-quality VN either. There is a great deal of detail in the background images and the characters are done well. The cutscene images were also done well and deserve praise. The thing to remember about Visual Novel's of this nature like some anime, and manga the quality of work and production takes a big hit due to the fact that the industry doesn't get the number of funds or talent that the more mainstream media gets.

I can't say I disliked this Visual Novel, while it did have some things in it that I wasn't really into for what it was I can't complain either. Airi for her part obviously has a split personality issue that causes her to go from fun-loving to a more...violent and aggressive person. Yuu is an average man that has a weak constitution and unable to see past his own primal instincts and his idealism of his sister. This leads to him being the unwitting victim to a mind trap that Airi places on him through the use of a mixture of 'Stockholm Syndrome' and her own ability to find his weakness and using that against him on a constant basis.

This is a nitch Visual Novel, for people like me that find these things interesting for a multitude of reasons I would recommend this even though it is short and there are no choices to be made. If you however are not into this kind of thing or even dabble in it slightly then I would not recommend this for you. In the end, though this really falls to the person and their own personal choice.

Christmas Eve is Here

 Christmas Eve is Here

Good morning everyone (at least it's morning at the time of this post) I hope you all are having a great Christmas Eve day! It has been a few days since I last posted any reviews, but please be aware it is because I am still playing through several games as we speak to bring you some interesting reviews and previews. All that said however I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone that reads my blog and those who glance at it from time to time.

With Christmas Eve here and Christmas tomorrow it reminds us that the end of the year is almost here, and with 2020 being a year to remember (not for the best of reasons mind you) it is this time of the year we take a moment to appreciate our families and loved ones. Just like Thanksgiving teaches us to be thankful for that which we have, Christmas teaches us to remember those that mean the most to us.

This time of the year can be hard on those that have lost a loved one over the past year or someone that has been gone for a time. In today's society, we are quick to dismiss these things as well as to take away the meaning of Christmas. Too many using the term 'Merry Christmas' is an enduring statement that shows respect and reverence to the holiday, sadly there are those out there that don't see it that way.

Despite the differences in political, social, religious, or racial differences Christmas is a holiday to remind us that even in today's harsh world there is a beacon of hope even in humanity.

I hope everyone has a great Christmas Eve and an even better Christmas. I will be working on some things today and will be posting later.

Thanks!

By the Grace of the Gods

By the Grace of the Gods

It has been a while since I have done a blog post on an Anime and not a game or Visual Novel. But I decided that this anime deserved a mention for a couple of different reasons. This anime is currently still being published in Dubbed format on Funimation. At the time of this blog, there are 7 episodes that are out Dubbed with a full 12 episodes out that are subbed.

By the Grace of the Gods is about a man living on earth named Ryoma that one day dies in a freak accident of sorts and comes face to face with three Gods. To some extent, this anime is an iseki but it doesn't follow the normal troupes of one, which actually is a breath of fresh air to some extent all unto its own.

Ryoma is a 31-year-old office worker that works for a very exploitive corporation that works all their employees like slaves. Because of this, he is used to pulling all-nighters, working days, and nights on end before ever being allowed to return home. From what little the story has shown of his past thus far he was apparently abused and beaten as a child and as a young adult, he was also abused by multiple bosses. Because of all this, he spent years building up his body to the point that he is very physically able.

In the realm of the Gods the three Deities, Lulutia the Goddess of Healing and Love, Kufo the God of Life, and Gain The God of Creation all speak with Ryoma and explain to him that he was chosen to act as a transfer from the realm of earth to another world where he will be able to live the life he wants to live. With that stated he will be sent to the new world in the form of an 8yo boy. He is told that he will be able to wield magic and so he decides he wants to wield all types of magic, this makes him a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Upon getting to the new world he opens a book left to him by the Gods and through a small scene, he learns "Taming" Magic which allows him to obtain his first of many familiars, a Slime.

Ryoma using what he learns from the book provided to him and what he learns on his own whims is able to establish himself a small home in the woodlands of a forest away from other people. He spends 3 years by himself in his self made home which brings him to be 11yo. During his time out in the forests, he is able to learn a great deal of new magic as well as to capture many more slimes that he then begins to learn and make notes about.

He later finds out that it was Gain that created the slimes and that he had created them with the ability to adapt to any environment meaning the evolution of slime was endless, however, due to the limited environments they soon stopped evolving and a few types were all there were.

These were the basic slime that had no special ability to speak of. The Acid Slimes which could dissolve anything and eat through metal, the Poison slime which through eating poison plants took on their characteristics, the Sticky Slime which used a sticky substance created in their body to trap their foes and then eat them. Later he is also able to obtain a couple of Healer slimes that have the ability to heal other people and creatures.

It is also brought to his attention later that through his own vices that Ryoma has actually created two new types of slimes, a Scavenger Slime which eats excrement and other forms of waste and produces fertilizer, and a Cleaner Slime which seems to possess the ability to clean dirt and grime off anything including Goblin Grime which is the hardest thing to get rid of apparently. He studies slimes on a regular basis and keeps a large working force of slimes numbering almost 4k in slimes.

One day while Ryoma is out doing some routine hunting and gathering for his home he runs into a group of soldiers. One is wounded pretty bad and the others are debating how to get him back to town in time to help him. Overhearing them he hears that one of them is a mage and knows healing magic but due to being low on mana he's not able to cast the needed spell to heal their wounded friend. Ryoma shows himself to the soldiers where he explains to them that he has some medicine he will give them for their wounded friend.

This interaction leads to Ryoma meeting the family of one of the knights that also happens to be the Duke of the territory that Ryoma resides in. It is here that he is introduced to who I can only assume is to be his 'primary' love interest (unless they follow the example JK Rowlins used and then I think there may be fires in the streets).

Eliaria is the daughter of Duke Reinhart Jamil. She is also a gifted tamer like all of the Jamil family. She is the same age as Ryoma (11yo) and follows her father and mother into the forest along with the knights and the former Duke Reinback to meet and speak with Ryoma. It is during this first meeting that Eliaria asks Ryoka about the slimes he has under his command as well as about the two new slimes. She was taken out into the forests to find her first familiar which she has chosen to be a slime. When she asks Ryoma how to catch a Cleaner Slime he is taken aback as he really doesn't want to answer that. I won't spoil the funny part but needless to say, it is an interesting thing to see.

Eliaria becomes Ryoma's closes friend, she has a great deal of mana and magic ability but lacks the ability to control it, because of this Ryoma helps teach her how to master her own magic through simply playing around with it and learning to control it through better understanding what it is she wants to use it for. Eliaria is in line to be a noble of the Jamil family and therefore she is taught magic, politics, diplomacy, economics, and of course fighting.

There is a great deal more that could be talked about but I think it's better to let you watch it for yourself. That said there is one thing I want to cover. And that is the controversy that is associated with this anime. Now based on what you have heard I am sure you realize this anime isn't adult-oriented or even rated above a PG13 like rating. However like most things now, it has become a topic for discussion over the matter of Ryoma's character and past life.

As stated on Earth Ryoma was a 31yo man, however, in the new world, he is an 11yo boy. When the obvious best girl presented to him is the same age as him in the new world (ie. 11yo) there are some that feel this is either borderline or 100% pedo territory. While I can at the very least kind of see where these people are coming from let me make this clear, there is nothing of the sort like that. We need to remember that both are the same age in the new world, also we need to think of it this way. If you are 90 and you get sent back to a time when you are 14, would you go looking for another 80yo to be with? I highly doubt that.

All in all this anime is a must-watch and while not really adult-oriented it is one that I think you will still find fun and interesting.

Perfect Gold The Alchemy of Happiness (Demo)

Perfect Gold The Alchemy of Happiness (Demo)

Perfect Gold is currently in development and the Alpha Demo can still be found on Steam and can be downloaded for Free. Made by Yangyang Mobile the creator of several mobile style games as well as the Visual Novel Love Esquire this is a new addition to their growing collection of Visual Novels.

The demo sadly isn't very long and doesn't give a great deal of information to the character development, backstory, or the connection between the characters. That said based on the tags that are present on Steam and the Bio of the game itself it is safe to assume the following information is most likely correct.

The story is told not from one protags view but instead from the two 'main characters' of the VN. Set in a world of magic and alchemy the two main characters are enrolled in a large prestigious school dedicated to the development of the magical and alchemical arts.

Audrey Clary is apparently the heiress to a noble and is well versed in alchemy. She appears to be a bit reserved but uses logic to get her point across even if that means she'll offend someone. She is studious to a point but despite that, she also has a bit of a 'bad girl' side that she keeps in check for the most part. At least that is what little I could catch. She also seems to be in a bit of a conflict with Marion who from what little information I have appears to be a friend (or at least was a friend) before something caused conflict.

Marion LaRue is the odd girl out. She is the daughter of a business owner who's older sister also attended the same Academy that she is now as well as a young and upcoming businesswoman in her own right. That said Marion is not her sister, she is a firebrand and seen as the problem child of the family but she is still an exceptional alchemist in her own right. She is headstrong, impulsive, direct, and very outspoken.

Despite her apparent attitude towards Audrey, she harbors a different feeling altogether for Audrey and that becomes apparent slightly in the demo.

The description as seen on the Steam page gives a great deal more insight into the kind of game this is and it can all be summed up as a WLW (women who love women) a heartwarming, slice of life story between two girls as they get a second chance at love and friendship. It is also tagged with the LGBTQ+ tag. This game, like Love Esquire, is voiced in English and uses the same vibrant visual technique that really made LE a big success. It will also have interactive dialogue and currently states it will have two endings only.

The story will be told from both the perspectives of the main characters to get a better sense of the world around them as well as their feelings for one another. While this is labeled as a slice of life which I can agree with I would also think adding the label 'love story' would be better to some extent.

I am excited to see how this VN turns out so soon as it is released I will be getting it and doing a full review on it, so stay tuned.

NekoPara Vol. 4

 NekoPara Vol. 4

NekoPara Vol. 4 is the latest addition to the NekoPara Franchise. This visual novel has gained so much notoriety that there was an anime done for it that was released in Japanese but never got a translation into English. However, that said there has been a recent newly developed episode-based Neko Para Anime series that has been produced by Funimation.

I can say that this is one of the view Visual Novel's that I have been waiting for new volumes to come out, between the music, graphics, and great story it is hard to not be excited when you hear that a new NekoPara is coming out. That being said this one is filled with H-Scenes (with the 18+ patch) and has a great storyline as well as adds two new characters and brings back one old one. It also further explains the tension between the protag Kashou and his father.

One thing this game does do is if you do have the 18+ patch is to give you a choice to view the H-Scene or to pass it by through a simple choice between "Others are around, or No one is around" which is a nice thing to have if you are playing it and you get to a point where you probably shouldn't be watching the H-scene at that time.

This VN starts out in an interesting way, it starts out with an extended H-Scene between Kashou, Vanilia, and Chocola. For some that may not have played the previous installments or just decided to read this before looking into the game, you need to understand a few things. The thing about NekoPara is the fact that the majority of the girls shown are the combination of genetics that created Neko's or catgirls. They are raised like human children to an extent but are limited in rights.

These Neko's grow quickly and have cat ears and tails and while they can speak and do things as a human they still retain a great deal of their cat-like mentality. Now we can debate the social, cultural, and equality aspects of how they should be treated differently but that is too deep of a subject at this time.

Chocola and Vanilia are Kashou's primary catpanions and live with him at his shop. They also act as employees at his cake store where he not only owns the store but also acts as the baker of western-style desserts. It is posed that Chocola and Vanilia are sisters and that Kashou and his sister Shigure found them after they had been 'dropped' as kittens. Taking them in they bonded primarily with Kashou and decided to move with him after he left the family estate.

The sisters are at opposite ends of the spectrum with Vanilia being calm, collective, dedicated, and a bit of a sadist. Chocola on the other hand is loud, hyper, loyal to a fault, and very much the masochist. With Kashou as their owner, however, they have grown quite a lot and now thrive at the shop as well as providing support to Kashou.

Kashou gets a request from his little sister Shigure to make their mother a birthday cake for her birthday, of course, he is more than happy to do so and even plans a big party at the family home for his mother along with Shigure and all their catgirls. In total there are 6 catgirls including Vanilia and Chocola. With Kashou setting up the cake and the food the party starts innocent enough and things are going well until Kashou's father arrives.

Kashou's father believed that Kashou would take over his family's Japanese confection candy and dessert business, but Kashou instead decided to head overseas to study in France to make Western sweets. This led to a conflict that has continued since the days Kashou left the family home to do what he wanted instead of what his father wanted.

The two get into a small confrontation, and at the end, Kashou's father shows him up on something simple, whip cream. After that night Kashou went back to his shop and continued his work but the confrontation had caused him to take a look at his own failures and what it was that he was really trying to do. Pushed to a mental breaking point his catpanions noticed his change and become worried about his continued mental and emotional distress.

In an attempt to help take some stress away from Kashou the girls along with Kashou and his sister decide to visit a hot spring district. It is at this point that two more of his catpanions step in to help Kashou.

Azuki is the oldest of the catgirls even though she is the smallest, this is because her breed is that of a Munchkin cat. As the oldest, she tends to be the leader of the group and tends to tell the other girls what to do if Kashou or Shigure isn't around. She is very direct, quick to anger, and constantly will fight with the youngest catgirl's Coconut.

Despite her very demanding and overbearing attitude at times over the other girls she is still very caring and understanding though she has a problem showing her true feelings unless pushed to do so. She also may be a bit bossy when it comes to the other girls but to Kashou she falters and though she will talk a lot of crap she always, in the end, becomes a very submissive catgirl, at least to Kashou.

Coconut is the second youngest of the catgirls with Vanilia and Chocola being the youngest. Despite that though she is also the biggest of them all due to her being a Maine Coon cat. She isn't the brightest of the girls and tends to think with her stomach more than her brain. However, she is physically fit and tends to be the one that they rely on to do the more physically demanding work as well as to do the deliveries.

Coconut and Azuki despite them being completely opposite and usually getting into fights and arguments two compliments one another and tend to be together most of the time. They are also the two that tend to spend time with Kashou at the same time much like Chocola and Vanilia do. (Personally, I consider Coconut my personal choice for wifu but to each their own right?)

While at the hot spring resort Azuki and Coconut manage to convince Kashou to go with them to the bath which leads to another H-scene between the three. I want to point out that this is also the first time in the series that the concept of anal had been considered, I'll leave it at that.

With their time at the hot spring resort coming to an end the group return home and things progress at an even pace, at least for a while.

Eventually, Kashou again becomes burdened with the idea that he's missing something from his desserts that hampers him from proving to his father that he has grown as a person and as a maker of sweets. The events lead to the other two of his catpanions to become concerned and take some action of their own.

Cinnamon and Maple are usually together as Cinnamon views Maple as her life long friend as well as someone she respects more than anyone. Cinnamon also likes to "be with" Maple in more than one way. Cinnamon is to be blunt the horn cat (see what I did there) of the group and finds a way to get hot and bothered by just about anything. She has a very flamboyant attitude which contrasts Maple's but they make it work.

Cinnamon is very open and outgoing she is quiet for the most part but can get loud when she wants to. She was another catgirl the family got as a dropped kitten. It took her time to feel at home with the other catgirls, but she did eventually become part of the family after Maple helped her get over her fears.

Maple is somewhere in the middle when it comes to the catgirls. She's older than Chocola, Vanilia, and Coconut but isn't as old as Azuki. She is reserved, cautious, and lacks the ability at times to get her feelings out in the open or can make it seem like she has the opposite feeling instead. That said she is one of the catgirls that are extremely loyal and dedicated to Kashou. She is also an up-and-coming musician and singer which doesn't get explained a lot in this volume but it is something that does get brought up at times.

The two see the pain that Kashou is in and through their efforts, (and an H-scene) they are able to help him make a choice to seek help from his former mentor once again to help find what it is that he lacks. He announces that he will be leaving Japan for a few days to fly to France to meet with his former Mentor. He plans on going by himself but soon after landing in France finds out that his sister Shigure had followed him to France.

Upon reaching his mentor's shop he meets another catgirl that he remembers from his time staying with his mentor. Her name is Fraise and she was a kitten that was supposed to have spent a short time with Kashou's Mentor but she ended up living there.

Fraise is a young catgirl but is dedicated, hard-working, well educated, and is named after the sweet that Kashou made especially for her when he was learning to make sweets and he found her crying as a kitten. She at first plays it off as she doesn't remember him but later she admits that she remembers him and that she had always wanted to see him again but was afraid she wouldn't be able to after he left France and returned to Japan.

During the few days there in France, Kashou finds out some information and through trial and error he finds out what it is that he's missing. Shigure offers both Fraise and Kashou's mentor a chance to come with them back to Japan but they decline...at least for the time being.

Now, this is just my own thought but I think that IF there is a NekoPara 5 that this will happen and that Fraise will become another catpanion but we'll see.

Upon returning home Kashou prepares for the Christmas rush at his store as well as prepares treats for a Christmas party at his parent's house. Now I could go into more detail about the secret that he finds out when he is home but I think that should be left alone and let you the viewer to get the Visual Novel and see for yourself.

In the end, I did enjoy this game and this series is a great one to get into. The H-scenes are done great, the art is well done, the audio fits well and overall the story is just a very nice touch and one that I think just about anyone could enjoy.

Sable's Grimoire: Man and Elf

Sable's Grimoire: Man and Elf

Sable's Grimoire: Man and Elf is a continuation of the base game "Sable's Grimoire", but it is based as though you have chosen to be with Leshia the Elf instead of with the best girl 'Drakan'. While this particular addition and extension may not be classified as 'canon' it is a unique look at an alternative ending that I think was well done. Looking at the game as it is it's obvious that the story Sable's Grimoire: A Dragons Treasure was the canon version of this story, but with Leshia's route alluding to a great deal of mystery and secrets of its own I find it logical to create an expansion onto that story.

Personally, I think there should be an extension of sorts for maybe even Eth and Tix but knowing if such is to happen I am afraid I do not. Currently in development from my understanding is the third installment of Sable's Grimoire following the canon outlined in Sable's Grimoire and Sable's Grimoire: A Dragons Treasure. The third installment Sable's Grimoire: Humuculus has yet to be given a release date or much in the way of development details.

Sable's Grimoire: Man and Elf start shortly after where Sable's Grimoire left off with Sable and Leshia being on a 'Hunt' for a magical beast causing issues for a village. Using their shared talents and magic they are able to make quick work of the magical beasts and in turn, return back to the Academy. Since the events of Leshia's Route, the pair have grown close and this closeness has allowed Leshia to share more of her thoughts, feelings, and emotions around Sable.

Early on it is plain to see that Leshia has taken a fondness for Sable though she still denies it every time someone says anything about it, especially her father Ein who is the principal of the Academy. Upon their return, it is a short time before the end of the first year and they will be given a short break before returning to classes as Second Year students. During this time Sable has been deciding to simply remain at the Academy to delve deeper into his research.

Sable has recently been obtaining new books from Jojo, his friend that is the library caretaker. She has been helping him develop magic to better defend himself, instead of magic that is based on the user's magical power, he is studying magic that is based on the users overall understanding of magic and their mental fortitude. As someone that knows he lacks the magic power that Leshia has, he is focusing on learning the magic that better suits him in combat. However, most of these magic arts that he is learning are things that are classified as 'forbidden' or 'illegal' spells. Jojo has made it clear she will help him but if he's caught she will feed him to the wolves and not help him out of the problems it will cause.

One such magic area he's been working on is creating magic dealing with Mental Manipulation. Going through the book he got prior to heading to class he takes in a spell called 'mental destruction' which is a spell designed to destroy the mind of the person that it is used upon, this can have a couple of effects but if used at its full potential it could kill the target. Armed with this knowledge, however, is pointless as if he was to use such spells openly he would be arrested.

Sable returns to class and encounters Eth and Rui who ask him if he would be willing to come with them to Rui's home which is a shrine located in her homeland. At first, he thinks about taking them up on their offer even though he really doesn't think it would be as beneficial to him as he would like to think. Of course, before he gives an answer Leshia counter offers him to come with her to her village for the duration of their vacation where he can study Elven culture. He accepts Leshia's offer though it wasn't just caused by the Elven culture exchange more so cause he knew that Leshia would probably be upset if he said no.

Of course, later on, the couple finds out that Ein will also be going with them back to their village to look into some troubling news of elves going missing and the appearance of a young dark elf boy. Thus they make their trip to the village all the while Sable is forced to hear the two elves take shots at one another as they argue pretty much the whole way home. While it's obvious this is just how the two show their love for one another it does at times come ahead and can lead to less 'loving' confrontation, but it doesn't usually last all that long.

The trio makes it to the village and gathers information and resources. Upon confirming the dark elf boy came to the village to collect the remains of his dead sister Lim who Sable and Leshia fought in 'Sable's Grimoire', Sable using his special tracking magic is able to find the young dark elf boy in a couple of townships away. The three make their way to a small township near the elf village, the township is the one that Ein came to early in his life with another human and even became the mayor for a time. However he had expressed his desire not to go back to the township, and that reason wasn't for what some would think it was for.

Entering the town they make their way to the mayor's house where they find Victor a half-elf and half-human. Upon seeing Ein, Victor expresses himself by calling Ein 'father'. As it turns out Leshia was unaware that she had a half-brother as Ein never mentioned him having other children after him and his former wife and Leshia's mother went their separate ways. This revelation leads to a very heated confrontation between Leshia and Ein as Leshia now realizes that her father has more secrets from her than she first thought.

Sable of course seeks out Leshia after her outburst and through talking, she realizes that Victor is in the same boat she was, he didn't know he had more family out in the world, and Ein hardly came by to see him as well so in a way he's not much different than her. With that thought, she is not so much mad at Victor, but her anger for her father remains even if she can set it aside at the time. Victor was married to a Human woman who also was a mage, and they had two children. This meant that Leshia was an aunt and while they stayed with Victor and his family for a short time to get more resources and information she took to the children and eventually to Victor as well.

Ein conveniences Victor to come with them on their journey to track down the missing villagers and to find the dark elf boy who they have determined is the brother to Lim and is the son of Merva, Ein's former wife. Leshia objects to getting Victor involved but Victor decides to join anyway and after a long struggle to convenience his wife to let him go he heads off with Ein, Sable, and Leshia on their journey to the next town.

Heading to the next town Leshia begins to open up more to Sable but only so long as Ein can't see them and the arguing between Ein and Leshia continues well into the next town where Victor takes them on a small tour, at that is until Sable leaves the group to find the dark elf boy on his own.

He is in luck as he comes across the boy even though he's hiding but before Sable can do much he is caught in a mind trap that affects his senses, however, he is able to make it where he sends a message out to Leshia without the dark elf boy noticing. Before the others can get to him the dark elf boy who goes by the name of Hagan tells Sable that if he joins Merva that he will be the first and possibly the only human to create a magical artifact. With that in mind, he is finally saved by Leshia.

Eventually, the two separated from Ein and Victor head into a nearby town where they encounter Merva and Hagan. Hagan is a master of shadow magic and earth magic. He is able to subdue Leshia and Sable with the aid of a Golem. The two wake up in a prison cell where Leshia breaks down and Sable is forced to make a choice between trying to escape or help Merva with her goal of creating magical artifacts.

Going with the Good ending, Sable is able to find out that the prison they are in is all in their mind as they have a direct mental link to Merva through the use of her mind control magic. Sable is given a few choices, (on this one I chose to have Sable make up a new mind conditioning spell and cast it on Merva which restrains her abilities to use magic).

After defeating Merva Hagan who has been manipulated since being born and had no free will is placed in the care of Victor to raise. Sable and Leshia spend some very intimate moments (H-scene if you have the 18+ free DLC) together and then decide to head to Leshia's and Ein's village till the end of their break. It is let known at the end of this that during their more intimate moments Leshia may have become pregnant.

While this game isn't exactly meta and goes along with the true story with Sable and Drakan, I find this story just as intriguing and well worth the money to get it and to play through it. I would HIGHLY recommend that you get the base game though so you don't miss out on the history of the characters. I would like to think that this on its own deserves its own third version but I doubt that will happen. That said who knows though, with work already underway on Sable's next story this could be a good transition.

Sable's Grimoire A Dragons Treasure

 Sable's Grimoire: A Dragons Treasure

Sable's Grimoire A Dragons Treasure is a continuation of the story of the protag Sable based on the idea that you chose Drakan as the protags love interest. As stated before too, she is also best girl per the developer's concepts. And I actually have no problem with her being best girl, I think this choice is pretty valid. Though I could even see Leshia and Rei also being best girl if he wanted to go that route instead.

This story also focuses heavily on the development of their relationship as well as a hidden story that develops between Sable and Drakans mother. Drakan's Mother visiting Sable throughout the school year leads to him getting a 'gift' from her in the form of a necklace. Upon putting the necklace on it attaches to him via small spines that insert themselves into his skin. This leads to some unique things happening to Sable.

First, his eyes change from their natural green to dragon red. His hunger then increases greatly to an almost staggering amount for a human but not uncommon for a dragon. He then gets increased senses from sight to smell and hearing. The increased senses overload his abilities as a human and Drakan is able to help him through being with him and helping him to learn how to control these increased senses.

At the end of the semester, they go on break, and to Sable's surprise, he's been asked and decided to go ahead and go with Drakan to go to her mother's cave to spend the week with the dragons. They leave the school and start the long journey to the cave however only a day into the journey strange things happen. Sable starts to get tired more easily, when he falls asleep he's taken to a 'Void' where he holds a conversation with someone or something that has no form. At first, it's a one-sided conversation but as time progresses the unknown person or thing starts to obtain its own identity and holds a more meaningful conversation with Sable.

Halfway through this DLC, you will be introduced to the unknown person who later Sable will give the name 'Fafnir' to. This particular person was created in the void by the magic item that Sable was given by Drakan's mother. Through the combination of the blood of Drakan's mother and Sable's own blood and magic, Fafnir was born within Sable. As Fafnir learns about Sable, Drakan, and 'her' mother she begins to understand that Sable was being used as a lab rat for an experiment to an extent that none of them really know.

Fafnir makes the choice that if it comes to taking over Sable's body effectively killing Sable or to sacrifice herself to save him she makes the choice to kill herself. However, this would require Sable to have Drakan either remove the necklace that has bore itself into his body and possibly kill him or to have the Bonding Ritual between Drakan and Sable. The Bonding Ritual is more than just an experience like marriage however, it joins the life forces, magic, physical, and mental essence of the two people involved in a way that goes beyond marriage to a human.

Of course one of the choices you can make here is to help keep Fafnir alive by turning her into your familiar and in doing so you can seal her into the necklace until you can find a way to extract her from it. If you choose this then you get what is referred to as the 'True Ending'.

During this process, you learn more about Drakan's character and the fact that despite her appearance she's still extremely young for a dragon, and this breeds a sense of insecurity and lack of knowledge which makes her very inept at making decisions on her own. She relies heavily on others to make these choices for her and views people like Sable and her mother as those with greater knowledge and understanding to be above her when it comes to making choices that affect her or those around her.

Because of her inactions and reliance on others, her half-dragon and half-human halves constantly battle one another, the dragon half wants to control everything while the human half wants to cooperate with others. When the time came and Fafnir demanded she make the choice to help Sable by performing the Bonding Ritual even if it might shorten her own life she was unable to make that choice. Eventually Sable was able to return to his body and instruct Drakan to remove the necklace and to help keep him alive until the dragon's blood was bleed from him.

Eventually, Sable is saved and the dragon blood is mostly removed from his body, he and Drakan return to the school and he keeps the necklace which he sealed Fafnir into. Once they return you learn a bit more as to what Nidhogg was doing with Sable and the necklace.

Upon coming back to the school Sable and Drakan have some intimate moments (including an H-scene if you have the 18+ DLC) and a visit from Nidhogg Sable is given some insight into a bit more of what Nidhogg has been attempting to accomplish, though he doesn't fully understand the scope of what it is she's doing he understands the key idea and concept. Through this, he is able to come up with his own project that he wants to start to bring Fafnir from the void to the real world and so he begins project Homunculus.

Now this game isn't as long as the original game, just the 'true ending' took around 11 hours of gameplay to get. At the end of the game, it also hints at a new Sable's Grimoire game called simply Sable's Grimoire: Project Homunculus, which is a continuation of this DLC.

In some ways, I actually found this game a bit better than the base game. While it focuses only on the two characters of Sable and Drakan, I find the addition of Fafnir to be interesting and a unique turn of events. I am actually hoping to see the third installment of this path come out sooner rather than later.

If you have or have played Sable's Grimoire, I highly recommend this DLC. I also recommend the 18+ Patch as well.
