Femboy Bangers

Femboy Bangers is pretty much as the title describes it, it is about an MC (whose name you make) heading to a new hot spot a few blocks from his place called 'Femboy Bangers'. It's pretty obvious that any bar and or diner-like establishment like this probably wouldn't last very long in most areas or countries, but this is a VN so anything can happen.

Now this VN is pretty straightforward and short...like really short. But for the price of 1$, it's not like you out a lot of money for a short VN. The VN has the MC and three primary 'femboy's' that you as the MC flirt with. The game's dialogue is direct and not thought-provoking, the artwork isn't grade A quality which again for a 1$ you can't expect NekoNyan grade quality.

The sound quality as far as music goes isn't bad but there is no voices or real sounds otherwise. That being said its not like I'm complaining, this is one of those VN's that you pick up because its cheap and you need a quick fix (if Femboy's are your thing of course).

Riley is the first Femboy you interact with and honestly is the one you hit it off with the best. They are also the ones that you do the most with...well I guess that isn't exactly right but not wrong either. Riley apparently is a major mess up when it comes to their job and it's that mess up that leads to the two of you hitting it off.

This one has a name...but honestly, they are not involved a bunch in the story and so I have dubbed them 'Barboy' as that was the title they got in the VN. While this particular character isn't in the VN very long or has much to do with the almost non-existent storyline they do kind of add a new dimension to the VN itself. So there is that at least.

Jodie is the manager and seems to be a bit of a hothead, they are also the one that seems to be a bit more of a dominate type as you will find out why I say that if you play the game. But I will say Jodie I think most likely has a hidden secret though we won't know what it is.

The Visual Novel isn't long and honestly, the story is pretty basic and straightforward, it does have a few sexual art scenes in it though there are not many. It was a nice selection for something different and to break the current VN trend that I've had going for a bit. And like I said for a 1$, it's not something that you're going to spend a great deal of money or time investing in it.

I will say this though, if Femboy's are not your thing then I wouldn't advise getting it...for obvious reasons. I mean...look at that bulge...not for the faint of heart I am here to tell ya.

Tales of Wedding Rings

Tales of Wedding Rings is a Manga written and illustrated by 'Maybe' and published by YEN PRESS. The story centers around Satou, a high school student, and his sudden entry into a new world thanks to his long-time childhood friend and 'love interest' Hime. As children while Satou was out late one day he met Hime and her grandfather after an unexplainable light came forth. Being a child Satou never really spoke about what he saw and never gave it much thought.

However, one day out of the blue Hime tells Satou that she is leaving and that he will never see her again. When he inquires about that he's taken aback to find out that she is leaving to get married. At first, he can't fully understand what is going on but after a portal opens up and she leaves he is left standing there thinking about what it is that he wants, as well as the fact that as she's leaving he can tell that she's hurt that she's leaving him behind.

He makes the choice to go through the portal after her and what awaits him is a new life of adventure and the eventual creation of a harm...as he is the new Ring King, and as such it's his quest to marry the 5 princess's and acquire their rings of power.

The first few volumes cover the travels of Satou and his first wife, Hime a Human Princess. Later he takes Nephrites the Elven Princess, Granart the Beast Princess, Saphire a Water Dragonkin, and finally Amber the Princess of the fallen kingdom of the Dwarfs.

It is his quest to get these rings of power and learn to use them by also getting closer to his wives to eventually defeat the Abyss King and his minions. Of course, there is the fact that he has to conveniences all these women to marry him, to give him their rings, and to keep them all happy so they are willing to help him in his quest. What could go wrong?

At the time of this post, I have read through 8 of the 9 current volumes and I am thinking there will be a Volume 10 but I am not sure about that just yet. I will keep tabs on this and see what will happen next. With what I have read at this time I highly recommend it to those that enjoy a good Isekai Harem story...not that there aren't already a few of them out there.

But I think it is a nice change of pace as the main character isn't OP like most Isekai's like to make the main character so that is refreshing, he's also dealing with the idea that his heart belongs to Hime only and he's got to learn to love all 5 of his wives equally.

Fureraba ~Friend to Lover~ Himari's Route

I am not going to lie on this one, I wasn't impressed with Himari's route at first, BUT it did get much better in the latter half of the Visual Novel. So despite the initial eye rolls, I had at the protags and Himari's initial interactions things got better.

I honestly at first had a hard time playing through this route after playing through Rina's and Yuzuyu's routes because of how they portrayed the MC. In the other two while he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box he had several other redeeming features that made you overlook that fact. However, in Himari's route, he really didn't have that many redeeming qualities at least till towards the end.

To say that you shouldn't go through this route however would be a lie, I think you just have to remember that the first half of the VN is going to be a rollercoaster ride of weird emotions and build-up to the point when they start dating, after that, I will say that it gets much better.

Himari was once the MC's childhood friend and living next to one another from the time they were in elementary school to middle school they grew up always being around one another. However, after the MC's mother moved to a new apartment they no longer had any contact with one another. And for a few years, they had no contact with one another which led to the end of their friendship for the most part. It wasn't until the 2nd year of high school that they were placed in the same class and started talking again.

Himari is unique in the fact that she is a high school student but appears to be younger, she also has a younger personality. That said she is pretty smart when it comes to most things but she isn't so good with the subject of sex or relationships. She is a partial Otaku and tends to have the eating habits of an old man.

The first half of the visual novel is the build-up stage and it is interesting, to say the least. It is not what I thought it would be but the two go through the ins and outs of re-establishing their friendship and then begin to expand on it to eventually start dating.

However, once the MC and her begin to start dating things move quickly, and at first, things are going pretty smooth, though I can say the relationship never actually goes bad but there are some things that the MC doesn't know until later in the route.

At first, they key their true relationship from their parents as they know that their mothers will be overly enthusiastic and will of course make a huge deal about it as they have been waiting for them to start dating for a long time. Eventually, though the two comes clean and of course they were right about what would happen, though it was all in good fun so it wasn't too bad for them.

It is during this time that they begin to discuss the disconnect between them and it is the MC that realizes that Himari had a crush on him for a long time and that it was her that decided that after he had moved to stop connecting with him. As they had grown up he and Himari were extremely close and it had earned the MC a bad reputation because he had few friends and even fewer friends than were boys. Over time Himari had realized that she was hurting the MC more than helping and in her mind, the only way to help him was to disconnect from him completely.

To that end she convinced herself she didn't love him any longer and that she would do what she could to work on herself and focus only on her own wants and desires that didn't include him. It wasn't until they reunited in High School that things changed. But instead of starting from the moment they were kids...she wanted to create a new relationship that wasn't one of pity or based on a sense of their childhood. Instead, she wanted to fall in love with the MC for who he was now and not what he was to her before.

The story ends with the two eventually graduating and moving in with one another after a while. They also decide to start a family and the ending shows their resolve with that in mind.

While this route was a bit...overdramatic and a bit of a strange take for the MC after playing through a few of the other storylines the ending I think was one of the more 'fulfilled ones. It felt like there was a sense of closure between the two and the story itself. While there could be more to their story, I think the ending for this one could stand on its own. Some would say that from the beginning she was best girl, and I guess from the normal meta she would be, but to me, I still feel like she wasn't. Not to say that didn't like Himari but she just wasn't what I was looking for.

Sable's Grimoire Update

Zetsubou the creator and producer for the series 'Sables Grimoire' just released a big update for the base game since its primary release on May 18, 2018. The game's popularity continues to grow as it has been ported over to multiple systems including Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. While the Steam version is the one that has obtained the update at the moment I'm posting this Zetsubou has done announced that he is also working with others to have the update ported over to the other systems as well.

If this is your first time hearing of Sable's Grimoire, the story follows a young human male by the name of Sable as he attends a school primarily seen as a place for demi-humans to learn about magic and life outside their normal communities and environment. Humans are allowed to attend as well as there are those that attend due to them being 'mages' which Sable is. While mages are still human most humanity views the use of magic even by their own kind to be scary and tend to view mages with contempt.

During his time at the academy, he meets a variety of demi-humans and in turn has to navigate his way through the trials and tribulations that come with being a human among demi-humans. Whether it is his roommate Tix the Pixi, Jorou the Jorougumo, Eth and Rei the mandragora, and Rokurokubi dynamic duo, Drakan the half-dragon, Lisha the Elf, or a variety of other demi-humans, Sable is stuck between getting involved in their lives and antics or continue to work on his own studies.

Sable is dedicated to the pursuit of his own interests, for better or for worse. He is a fanatic of demi-humans and is fascinated in learning all he can about the types of demi-humans there are and about their cultures. He is also a fanatic of magic both in learning about spells and creating his own. It is because of this he has gained the attention of a lot of different students and facility members.

In the latest update, a new story plotline has been added that has Sable helping an additional 'interest' that being of his former teacher Eris the Succubus. Sable after defending Eris from losing her job completely at the academy is asked to help her in obtaining information on another facility member in an attempt to end an ongoing feud between them.

Normally I might give a few spoilers here and there or give away the storyline to a point but as this is a new plot and update that just came out, I will let you find out for yourself what it involves. Just know that unlike a couple of the other endings there is no...adult content that I have come across yet for these new endings. While slightly disappointed in that I can understand that with the way things are now on Steam sometimes it's hard to get content like that up now.

With Eris's story comes 3 new endings, a Good, Neutral, and Bad ending (which I haven't gotten yet but figure that means you die). Along with this update comes with an additional ending called, 'Rei's and Eth's True ending'.  This ending has Sable taking a different route in the story arch of Rei and Eth in which the two demi-human girls are able to stay together, stay at the academy, and in the end stay with Sable.

The update also fixed some bugs and issues that had been found through the game as most updates do.

The new Eris route and Rei and Eth route are both very well crafted and done. The Eris route is long which adds more thrill to the story of Sable. While Eris is a secondary character at first I do think this puts her in more of an 'intimate' possible role. Not to spoil it but I think an ending or after story in which we see Eris and Sable getting together after a time period...which is laid out in Succubus culture...would be an interesting idea.

Overall I greatly enjoyed the addition, though not as 'racy' as I had hoped due to the nature of my blogs and such I still found this to be a great addition. If you haven't read my previous blog on Sable's Grimoire I will post a link for it as well as the link to the Steam Game version of Sable's Grimoire.
