Magebuster Amorous Augury

Magebuster Amorous Augury

Steam Review

Straight forward, simple, elegant, well-versed story and multiple endings based on your performance in the battles. This game could easily be expanded upon and could have DLC added to it. While my only complaint is the fact it is short and the final battle takes way too much time than it should have this game is one of those games I did enjoy greatly.

Graphic wise it is good, the gameplay is simple but good, music works well, and there are voice-overs which make things better. I enjoyed the simple yet engaging battle system. I think this game could be expanded upon and really develop into a better than average game if taken care of.

High Recommend to anyone looking for a short but fun little game with adult content.

Extended Review

In all honesty, there is not much I can say about this game considering it is a very short game. That said it does offer multiple endings depending on how many stages you are able to complete. The first playthrough I did I was able to get through all the stages even the dreaded final stage that took way to long to complete because you had to figure out the pattern and then keep using that pattern until you defeated the mage. The ending I got wasn't that bad and of course, there was a nice little adult ending for it.

The gameplay is pretty basic, the choices you make do make some things changes and of course, losing a stage can also move you into one of the five endings or move you out of one. The story is pretty basic and simple and doesn't require a great deal of depth.

The story is basically you play as a demon that has been summoned and banished more times than you can count and each time you get a taste of freedom you end up finding yourself right back into the darkness of your eternal prison. This time is no different however as you are summoned by a young apprentice mage that is attempting to bind you to her will in order to use your power to bring her more power. The reason why she wants this is of no consequence and like a demon, the idea that you could be freed from the darkness is enough to make you take a gander through the gate. Once you do she must best you in combat to control you.

This is of course where you can decide to give up and let her beat you for better or worse, or you can fight all the way through and make her earn a victory...or maybe instead of you becoming her servant...she will become yours.

In the end, the multiple endings, voice-overs, gameplay as simple as it is and the music are all really good. I highly recommend this if you have some spare time and want an adult game that won't take you long to play through and that you can go through more than once and get more than one ending.
