Extended Review
Mirror is a match 4 Visual Novel game that follows multiple characters through multiple story's and plots each unique to that character. The power-ups you buy however transfer to all story arch's so it is advisable at first to maybe play through the first story multiple times to unlock several power-ups to make the next few stories easier to play. The first story is based on that your character is a hired sword that is hired to do a job in a Dark Elf Mansion. During your mission, you run into a Dark Elf thief that is attempting to still artifacts to obtain funds. You foil this Dark Elf (playing the match four game that acts as a battle system).
After defeating her multiple times you eventually capture her and then reveal that you are actually a Demon Lord that has taken the Mansion and you have decided to make the Dark Elf your plaything. And that is where the more adult-oriented content starts.
The game has multiple levels each with a new protagonist and each with a new girl that you get with for one reason or another. And there is plenty of boobs, and other things as well. This game also has a unique add on that allows you to create your own content or modify current content to allow you to make custom stories, arch's or expand on current ones making the game endless with possibility. The simple design of the game and its unique Match 3 Battle System makes this a fun little buy and can have hours of entertainment even without the adult content.
I personally have only played through about half of the first section of the game so around 4 girls unlocked out of 9. They also a second section with around 5 girls and then, of course, you can get player-made content as well.
Visually the graphics are well done, the music is nice though I personally disable the music and listen to my own most of the time when playing games so that is an idea you may do as well. I do leave the voice volume up for obvious reasons. I do not suggest you play this game while children are present while the battle scenes don't show anything when the cutscenes come up, especially with the 18+ patch active you will find there is quite a bit of detail there that most likely children shouldn't see.
Multiple playthroughs of a single battle or section are recommended so you can win and get the points you need to upgrade skills and get items. These will help you as you advance. I found myself several times playing through the first level again just to get points to spend on upgrading my stats and getting new powers. It is also wise to look at the stats and powers of the girl your facing and change up your items and powers that will go against theirs or cancel out their special moves. Usually, the first couple of battles are not to bad, but the last two or so they usually gain some nice powers that they use to really cause you some problems.
In conclusion, this game is fun, open-ended, nice, and well done. It is a nice casual game that has some nice replay value and can be customized as well if you know how to.
