This anime is a bit differently done then I am used to and to be honest it is actually done in a way that I could support for the most part as far as how the episodes themselves are done. Now as for the subject matter I find this to be an interesting way of pushing the boundaries of taboo's so to speak. So please keep in mind this is an Adult Anime but not really Hentai as it has no sex scenes that are shown...maybe insinuated but not shown. 

Why In Hell Are You Here Teacher is about 4 students that are either already friends or become friends in the process that each become the taboo lover of their teacher. With that said this anime attempts to approach this topic with comedy in a way to smooth over the fact that we are watching Highschool teens fall in love with their teachers and the teachers fall in love with them. 

Now this anime is done in rapid secession in the fact that each episode is only around 11mins long and there are the standard 12 episodes. I will say they leave it open to where should they want to they could easily go back and create more episodes for a new season. That said they also ended it in a way that if they decide not to, (and honestly I don't see it happening) that the anime feels complete and so the lack of another season isn't so painful. 

Each episode focuses on a single relationship between a student and a teacher. It usually takes a few episodes for a teacher and student to get together and each episode in its short time builds each character and their relationships to a point you do feel satisfied with how it is going. Towards the end of the series the anime couples get together and spend time with each other as well which allows the friends to see how much they really have in common.

As stated earlier the aspect of comedy is done very well here and I can say that many episodes will have you laughing extremely hard and wanting to watch the next episode to see what other hilarious situations they can get into. Even though this is dealing with a subject matter that here in the US can cause a great deal of controversy it is done in a tasteful manner and really shows the difference between the Cultural Divide between East and West.

In closing, I would highly recommend this anime despite the fact it is more of an adult-oriented anime and even though it is about teachers and student relationships simply for the comedy and the fact that it is done really well. I know there are many that will roll their eyes at this but I think something that only lasts 11mins that is entertaining is worth the time and effort.
